Problem description
The temperature of the adjacent space should be taken into account during Thermal calculations of building.
There are several variants to Determine temperature of adjacent space in the program:
- Acc. to standard,
- Acc. to standard Observe Δθij.,
- Acc. to standard Limited to θj,u.,
- Acc. to standard Observe Δθij. Limited to θj,u.,
- Always adopt design temperature of adjacent space.
θj,u - minimum temperature of the adjacent space equals 16°C by default.

Note: Calculation variants above do not apply to rooms in a Building unit noted as Temperatures of adjacent spaces equal to design.
Solution
Acc. to standard
The Temperature on other side of the Partition located between rooms from different units is counted as follows:
θos = (θi,H + θm,e) / 2
θi,H - Design room temperature,
θm,e - Annual mean external temperature.

Acc. to standard Observe Δθij.
The Temperature on other side of the Partition located between rooms from different units is counted as follows:
θos = (θi,H + θm,e) / 2
θi,H - Design room temperature,
θm,e - Annual mean external temperature.
If the calculated θos value is higher than the actual design Temperature on other side, the program for this section assumes the actual design temperatures (for both rooms).
Acc. to standard Limited to θj,u.
The Temperature on other side of the Partition located between rooms from different units is counted as follows:
θos = (θi,H + θm,e) / 2
θi,H - Design room temperature,
θm,e - Annual mean external temperature.
If the calculated value of θos is lower than the declared value of θj,u, then the program assumes that θj,u is the temperature on the other side.
Acc. to standard Observe Δθij. Limited to θj,u.
The Temperature on other side of the Partition located between rooms from different units is counted as follows:
θos = (θi,H + θm,e) / 2
θi,H - Design room temperature,
θm,e - Annual mean external temperature.
- If the calculated value of θos is lower than the declared value of θj,u, then the program assumes that θj,u is the temperature on the other side,
- If the calculated θos value, adjusted to reflect the point above, is higher than the actual design Temperature on other side, the program for this section assumes the actual design temperatures (for both rooms).
Always adopt design temperature of adjacent space
The program always accepts for the θos field the temperature value of the θi,H for the Room on the other side.
The option "Temperatures of adjacent spaces equal to design" is chosen for the room
Operation as described above, but with the ability to control θos at each room level.

The field "Room on other side"
There is the possibility to specify the type of the Room on other side:
- %s (room of other building unit) - θos = (θi,H + θm,e) / 2,
- %s (room of other building) - θos = θm,e,
- %s (room of the same building unit) - θos = temperature entered in the room on the other side.
