Wersja edukacyjna pakietu InstalSystem może istnieć jako odmiana wersji pełnej, jak i jako wersja firmowa. Pakiet w wersji InstalSoft jest zawsze w konfiguracji "Ogrzewanie, chłodzenie, instalacje wodociągowe + BIM" i ma ograniczony zakres dostępnych katalogów produktów. Wersja firmowa ma konfigurację zgodną z wersją standardową partnera i  posiada taką samą bazę katalogów jak program aktywowany na licencji komercyjnej.<br/>

The full InstalSoft version is always in the "Heating, cooling and tap water systems + BIM" configuration and is limited in terms of catalogue range. The educational version of customized packages are configured as the Partner's standard version and contains the same catalogue database as the program activated with use of a commercial licence.<br/>


Licencje edukacyjne przynależą do jednego z trzech typów określonych literą : C - komputery w pracowniach szkół lub uczelni, komputery osobiste prowadzących zajęcia, S - studenci (licencje do użytku na sprzęcie osobistym), T - komputery w salach szkoleniowych Zamawiającego (firmy - Partnera, mającego swoją wersję edukacyjną). Sam typ licencji nie wprowadza żadnych ograniczeń ani różnic w działaniu aktywowanego tą licencją programu, ale w praktyce różnią się tym, że licencje typu C można przedłużyć na kolejny rok, a licencja typu S wygasa po roku.<br/>
