Description
This article describes the possibilities of configuring the InstalSystem 5 package. The package is configurable at various levels, which enables the user to adapt the application to individual needs and improve the comfort of work.
Location in the program
Application configuration options are accessible from the window Editor InstalSystem, which is automatically opened when a new project starts or existing project file opens. The application configuration has a general character and is used for all projects processed by the one installation of the program.
Example of use
Settings
Settings apply to the keyboard, mouse, pop-up menu, some aspects of display view; they enable modifying the toolbar and specifying which diagnostic messages are to be displayed. Basic settings in the program can be made after clicking the Settings button.
Window Layout
Window Layout can be modified by selecting the active windows and arranging them on the screen. InstalSystem 5 supports using two displays at the same time. We recommend this mode of work. Windows can be selected from a list available on the toolbar.
To lock a selected window on the screen, "grab" the tab with that window’s name with the left mouse button and drag it towards the centre of the main window so that a cross appears showing the possible window layouts. To position the window in one of the proposed layouts, drop it onto that layout. You can also drop the window anywhere else on the display, even outside of the main window.
Kompozycje wydruków
Predefiniowane kompozycje wydruków dostępne są w drzewie po lewej stronie okna Printouts. Ilość i rodzaj gotowych propozycji zależy od używanej wersji programu. Możliwy jest wybór danej kompozycji i zapoznanie się z jej zawartością. Istnieje też możliwość utworzenia i zapisania własnych kompozycji wydruków, które będą później dostępne, obok kompozycji predefiniowanych, również dla innych projektów.
Wyszukiwanie elementów
Możliwe jest stworzenie i skonfigurowanie własnych filtrów dla wyszukiwania w projekcie elementów spełniających określone kryteria. Utworzone i zapisane filtry dostępne będą również dla innych projektów.
Template files
Template is a predefined project file that can be used as a starting point for creating a new project. A template can include various defined settings, e.g. general data, predefined system components, etc. A number of various templates can be used, each suited for a typical type of project. There are a number of predefined templates and the user can also define his/her own templates. By selecting Save as a template the open project in its current state is saved as a new user’s template.
Moduły
Moduły stanowią gotowe do wstawienia fragmenty instalacji. Zależnie od określonej konfiguracji pakietu mogą być dostępne gotowe, predefiniowane moduły. Możliwe jest tez samodzielne definiowanie modułów przez użytkownika.
W celu utworzenia modułu należy zaznaczyć wybrany fragment instalacji i wybrać opcję Utwórz moduł z paska narzędzi. Aby wykorzystać utworzony moduł, należy dodać go do stworzonej zakładki na pasku narzędzi.
W lokalizacji Plik/Ustawienia/Wstążka możliwe jest tworzenie nowych zakładek (Nowa zakładka), dodawanie galerii (Nowa galeria) oraz zarządzanie zakładkami.
