List of standards and methods used for sizing and calculations
Net-san
Gravity sewerage network
- Stream of stormwater (Qd):
- PN EN 752-4 Standard
- Karl and Klauss R. Imhoff: Kanalizacja miast i oczyszczanie ścieków.
- Hydraulic calculations of partly filled pipes (Qs, Qd):
- flow calculation due to Bretting’s formula.
- pressure drop calculation due to Prandtl-Colebrook formula.
- Self-defecation:
- due to the method of boundary shear stress.
- Pipe diameter sizing:
- considering sum of flow values (Qs and Qd) and fill ratio.
- Network arrangement:
- authorized method which meets required minimum and maximum depth gradient and collisions with other networks.
- Local friction:
- considering roughness of pipes taken from catalogue data or from ATV-DVWK A110P standard.
Pressure sewerage network
- Pumping stations:
- based on: Karl and Klauss R. Imhoff: Kanalizacja miast i oczyszczanie ścieków and authorised method.
- Hydraulic calculations of completely filled pipes:
- due to Colebrooke-White’s formula, Qs and Qd values are directly added up.
- Pipe diameter sizing:
- considering the maximum speed (Vmax) and the maximum unconsolidated frictional resistance (Rmax) values.
- Network arrangement:
- authorized algorithm considering the boundary conditions (min/max cover and declines), and collisions.
- Local friction:
- not considered.
Water supply network
- Calculations of pipes completely filled:
- due to Colebrooke-White’s formula.
- Pipe diameter sizing:
- considering the maximum speed (Vmax) and the maximum unconsolidated frictional resistance (Rmax) values.
- Network arrangement:
- authorized algorithm considering the boundary conditions (min/max cover and declines), and collisions.
- Local friction:
- enabled by the ability of declaring dzeta value for water pipe network junction.
