Problem description

Activation problems

Some problems related to the inability to activate a licence are identified by the following messages:
Error during activation, error code: %s
The entered license number has already been used for activation and cannot be used again
Incorrect setting of the system clock


Possible causes of the error

During activation, an error may occur and/or the licence may be blocked in the following situations:

  • activation of the licence on a new workstation without first deactivating it,
  • changing the computer ID number, e.g. by updating the BIOS or operating system without first deactivating the licence,
  • attempting to activate the licence on the wrong package,
  • the system clock is not in sync with the server clock.

Other messages

Other messages that inform the user of the current status of software activation:

Program is activated
The software has been successfully activated and is operational.

Program is not activated
It is not possible to work with the software. Select the Activate program button and activate the software using the obtained licence number.

Activation date of license has expired
It is not possible to activate the software with the selected licence number. Licence expiry date has passed.

Activation date of educational licence has expired
It is not possible to activate the software with the selected licence number. The validity of the educational licence has expired. If you need to complete your work with the software, please contact InstalSoft by e-mail.

Trial version has expired
It is not possible to activate the software with the selected licence number. The validity of the trial licence has expired. The Activate/order standard version window is displayed to place an order for the software.

Report the problem using the Problem report form available in the Manager, in the Help window, under the button Problem with licence or activation.

Once the Problem report form has been completed and submitted, you will be contacted by e-mail.


Incorrect setting of the system clock

It is necessary to change the date and time setting in Windows so that the date and time are automatically synchronised. To do this, enable Set the time automatically and perform the time synchronisation using the Sync now button.
