Problem description
In the process of performing Thermal calculations of building, there may arise a necessity to take into account a false ceiling as a thermal Partition between usable Storey and unheated attic. The solution is detailed in this article.
Solution
- Add additional storey level or Add internal storey level. For more information, see: Additional and internal storey levels;
- Specify Hs (Storey elevation) in accordance with the Thickness of false ceiling indicated for the Main storey level;
- Insert a Slab element on the created level;
- Run Computation of building structure ;
- Uncheck the box Heated room for the created Room in the Data table window;
- Add and specify the Partition definition in accordance with the project requirements. For more information, see: Calculation of design heat load of rooms;
- Make Thermal calculations of building.
