Description
- The function Copy with a base point allows individual or group copying of construction and installation elements with a previously determined base point.
- The function Mirror, available when making copies, is useful when designing symmetrical buildings and installations.
- The function Rotate, available when making copies, allows to correct the orientation of the elements according to the project needs.
Location in the program
The Copy with a base point button is available in the 2D editor window on the Main tools toolbar, section Edit.
The functions Mirror and Rotate can be used when the operation Paste is performed. The Rotate / Mirror window appears on the right side of the screen, allowing to activate these functions, as well as to specify the Mirror axis angle, the Method of mirroring (vertical or horizontal) and the Rotation angle. This window can be freely moved and placed at any suitable location on the working space.
Note: If these functions are not needed in the process of working with the project, they can be disabled at the bottom of the working screen, tab MIRO.
Example of use
Copying to the next storeys
Using the Copy with a base point function, structures and installations can be copied to the next storeys.
Copying between two projects
The function Copy with a base point makes it possible to copy structures and installations between two projects.
Note: In this case 2 editors must be open simultaneously in the same scope. The copied fragment is adapted to the template of the project to which it is copied. It is recommended to customize the template before copying.
Intelligent connection of the copied installation
During insertion of the installation containing loose pipe ends, the AUTO function for these loose ends is called to automatically connect them.
